Legislation & Compliance

From the outside, sustainability regulations such as the Carbon Reduction Commitment and the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) can appear rather daunting, and possibly very costly to implement. However, this does not need to be the case.

By calling on our knowledge and practical experience of energy management compliance – whether the rules are mandatory, voluntary or reputational – your commitment towards a more sustainable and energy efficient future is in safe hands.

Energy Surveys/ESOS compliance

Forensic examination of your energy data allows us to pinpoint areas of your business operation where we can save you money. Using our bespoke software and vast experience of the energy industry, we are able to assess your energy performance cross your whole asset base, whether you are based on one site or across multiple locations.

ESOS statistics suggest that a 20% reduction in energy consumption can be made if energy efficiency measures are implemented. Following the survey, we can help prioritise key improvements in an Energy Reduction Plan and then assist you with the installation of the appropriate equipment and systems.

SECR

As of April 1st 2019, Streamlined Energy & Carbon Reporting (SECR) commenced, with the aim of simplifying carbon and energy reporting and promoting energy efficiency. SECR requires businesses to publish all energy and transport consumption and carbon emissions information. The changes to the previous methods of reporting align SECR with the government’s new Clean Growth Strategy, which targets a 20% improvement in business and industry energy productivity by 2030.

ESOS

Under the Government’s Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS), all organisations with more than 250 employees or with an annual turnover of more than 50 million euros, had an obligation to complete an ESOS notification of compliance – to identify energy saving opportunities on a four-yearly cycle thereafter. Our accredited advisors and ESOS Lead Assessors who will ensure your compliance with the scheme and will also help you to maximise the energy saving opportunities identified.
